Disability Training for Emergency Planners
In this training, we provide information and best practices to ensure the safety of people with disabilities and EMS, Firefighters, Law Enforcement, and other Allied Health Professionals. The training provides an overview of information and best practices that will ensure the safety of people with disabilities during emergency events, as well as an overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 as it relates to emergency planners. This training was supported by funding provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
To obtain one hour of Continuing Education Credit for this training, all modules must be viewed in their entirety and a passing grade must be obtained on the training post-test. This program has been approved for 1 CE by The Center for EMS at The Ohio State University (#2214). We also ask that you complete a brief evaluation of the training.
